Nissan LEAF Awarded by IHS Automotive

The Nissan LEAF recently became the only plug-in vehicle to receive an IHS Automotive customer loyalty award when it was presented with the award for best Non-Luxury Traditional Compact Car. These awards are presented annually to automakers that demonstrate an impressive ability to retain loyalty amongst car buyers. IHS Automotive determines customer loyalty by tracking new car vehicle registrations throughout the model year and keeping track of how many consumers return to the market to purchase a vehicle that is the same make or model as on that they have purchased in the past or currently still own. "Since entering the market in 2010, the Nissan LEAF has steadily gained supporters throughout the U.S.," said Toby Perry, director of marketing for Nissan LEAF. "While the majority of original buyers were electric vehicle enthusiasts, we're now seeing more and more 'regular' car buyers fall in love with LEAF because of its many financial benefits, fun-to-drive nature and roomy interior. Our LEAF fans are some of the most loyal customers in the world, and we're thrilled to see that validated with this IHS award." The Nissan LEAF has seating for up to five and has a variety of available feature such as a 7-speaker BOSE® energy efficient audio system, leather seats and 17-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, this model has an EPA estimate of 126 MOGe city/ 101 MPGe highway*. *2015 EPA Fuel Economy Estimate 126 city, 101 highway. Based on EPA formula of 33.7 kW/hour equal to one gallon of gasoline energy, EPA rated the LEAF® equivalent to 126 MPG measured as gasoline fuel efficiency in city driving, and 101 MPG in highway driving. Actual mileage may vary with driving conditions — use for comparison only. 2015 EPA range of 84 miles.

Nissan Titan XD named 2016 Truck of the Year by AutoGuide.com

The 2016 Nissan Titan XD has received many awards this year including "Best Pickup Truck of 2016 " and "Truck of Texas.” It can now also add AutoGuide.com’s honor as “2016 Truck of the Year” to that list! The editors applauded not only its heavy-duty ability (maximum towing capacity of 12,300 pounds), but the impressive 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel Engine that produces 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque. Nissan is Rewarded for Their Work in Lowering CO2 Emissions

The Carbon Disclosure Project has ranked Nissan in the top five percent of corporations that are participating in the international NPO’s climate change program. In addition, Nissan received a perfect score on the organization’s Climate Disclosure Leadership Index. All of this recognition means that Nissan was once again the highest ranked automotive company in Japan. The perfect score was given thanks to the continuing work that has been done to reduce CO2 emissions from new vehicles by 90 percent by 2050. Nissan was also named on the Climate “A” list thanks to its top-selling zero-emissions vehicle the LEAF, it’s implementation of LEAF to Home and its effort to reduce CO2 emissions within its manufacturing process.
