Just recently, Nissan North America and the Tennessee Titans announced a 20-year partnership that gives exclusive naming rights* of Nashville’s downtown stadium to Nissan. The newly renamed, Nissan Stadium, will serve as a home for Titans football games, Tennessee State University football games, various concerts, and the Music City Bowl.

“Middle Tennessee is a great place to live and do business and Nashville is one of the great vacation and convention destinations in the U.S.,” said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing and Operations, U.S.A., Nissan North America, Inc. “The stadium is a centerpiece of the downtown skyline, and we want visitors and Titan game TV viewers to know that we are proud to call Nashville and the great state of Tennessee, Nissan’s home.”

This partnership also makes Nissan the official automotive partner of the Tennessee Titans. Adding to its sponsorship of NBC’s “The Voice”, the Heisman House, and a strong advertising presence in the past super bowl.

The new stadium naming only furthers Nissan’s presence in Tennessee which already encompasses powertrain and vehicle manufacturing centers in Smyrna and Decherd, plus its North American headquarters located in Franklin, Tennessee.

One aspect to the new partnership will be helping with various community outreach programs held by charitable groups across middle Tennessee. Nissan will be sponsor for the yearly “Taste of Titan” event which will this year serves to help the Wounded Warrior Project. Over the upcoming 20-year partnership, over $1 million is expected to be raised for local nonprofits through these yearly events.

* The naming rights are subject to approval by the National Football League and the Metro Government Authority, which both the Titans and Nissan anticipate will be obtained shortly.
