March sales for the Nissan Division have been announced and the brand has now achieved their best-ever results for the month with a 13 percent increase over March from last year. The total sales for the month came to an impressive 149,784 units with many individual models achieving new monthly records or notable increases over 2015.
New March records were set by the Sentra and the Versa with sales increasing 23 percent and 12 percent respectively. Total March sales for the Sentra were 26,201 units, and 16,255 units for the Versa.
The Rogue achieved its best sales month ever with a 1 percent increase to reach 27,713 units sold in March.
Sales of the Murano increased 56 percent with 8,657 units and sales of the Maxima increased 139 percent to reach 6,588 units.

Nissan Debuts 2017 Nissan TITAN Crew Cab at NYIAS
Following the exciting debut of the 2017 Nissan GT-R, Nissan continued to steal the spotlight at the New York International Auto Show, with the unveiling of the 2017 Nissan TITAN Crew Cab. This half-ton model boasts an astounding new 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 gasoline engine that cranks out an impressive 390-horsepower and is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. It will also have five trim levels and will be available in 4X4 and 4X2 drive configurations.
“The TITAN XD stakes out a unique position in the full-size truck segment between traditional heavy-duty and light-duty entries. The bold new design combines the capabilities of a heavy-duty hauler with the drivability and affordability of a light-duty pickup,” said Fred Diaz, division vice president and general manager, North America Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles, Nissan North America, Inc. “Now, with the addition of the powerful Endurance V8 gasoline engine, TITAN XD buyers can experience the ‘Every Duty™’ TITAN XD two ways.”
This half-ton model joins the TITAN XD and is projected to be the highest volume TITAN. The TITAN Crew Cab is due to arrive at Nissan dealers sometime this summer.

Chef Huda Teams Up with Nissan Rogue
Celebrity Chef Huda has had a lot of big moments in her life, including winning a television cooking show and being a guest chef at the White House, but she was even more nervous to cook a meal for her friends and colleagues. With the help of the 2016 Nissan Rogue, Chef Huda’s preparation went seamlessly. The Rogue allowed her enough cargo room to fit all of her grocery bags, while the Siri Eyes-Free allowed her to take phone calls and texts while she was running around town getting ready.

The 1992 Nissan 240SX Convertible was a stylish and sporty edition to the Nissan lineup when it was first introduced 24 years ago. MotorWeek has taken a look back at this model through one of their Retro Review videos in which they explore whether this vehicle is able to transition from hardtop to convertible soft top and still maintain the same level of power and ability. Overall, MotorWeek was pleasantly surprised by the sleek and stylish look that Nissan was able to achieve with the removal of the top, the solid grippy handling and the ability to easily swing the tail on demand. They also found that this model offered an impressive fuel economy rating, making it efficient as well as fun.

Nissan Introduces Electric Minivan in Europe
We tend to think of electric vehicles as efficient but not very practical, but Nissan is shaking things up in Europe. They’ve just announced the launch of the e-NV200 overs, which is a seven-seater electric minivan. The new model was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show and it includes two more seats since it was previously only available as a five-seater.
Jean-Pierre Diernaz, Nissan’s director of electric vehicles explains, “We have always planned to offer a higher-seating capacity version of the Nissan e-NV200. Marketplace demand has meant we have moved this introduction forward by several months to satisfy this need. Nissan has had requests from taxi companies, VIP transfer services, hotels and private motorists who are interested in buying this uniquely flexible and capable vehicle.”
