Nissan has announced that three of their vehicles have been awarded in the 2015 J.D. Power U.S. Automotive, Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study. This study asked new-vehicle owners who purchased or leased a 2015 model from November 2014 – February 2015 to evaluate their overall satisfaction with their new model within the first 90 days of ownership. The owners evaluate their vehicles within 77 specific attributes and the scores are combined into an overall total based on a 1,000 point scale.
2015 Nissan Winners Include:
- 2015 Nissan Murano – First Place in Midsize SUV Category
- 2015 Nissan Altima – Second Place in Midsize Car Segment
- 2015 Nissan Frontier – Third Place in Midsize Pickup Category
“Given its bold new design, the APEAL Study results showed that exterior and interior styling are by far the leading purchase reasons for Murano buyers,” said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing and Operations, U.S.A., Nissan North America, Inc. “We are also extremely pleased with the strong showing of the 2015 Altima, which finished above its two main sales competitors in the segment with a 13-point improvement over the year before. Like Murano, Altima offers advanced technology systems at an affordable price point.”
