Nissan Sales Highlights:
“Big Moments” for Nissan
For the first time since 1997, viewers of the XLIX Super Bowl will be seeing a Nissan commercial during the broadcast. The 60-second spot will air on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015 as part of Nissan’s “Big Moments” campaign. The “Big Moments” campaign also includes spots on the hit show “The Voice” with Adam Levine, during the NCAA Collage Playoffs and the NFL Playoffs.
“This is a great time for Nissan to make a big brand statement in front of one of the largest global audiences of the year,” said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Nissan Sales & Marketing and Operations U.S., Nissan North America, Inc. “Nissan is on pace for its best sales year ever in the United States – and that’s with five weeks still to go in 2014. We’re not about to let up on the accelerator now, or in 2015, with the upcoming launches of the all-new 2015 Nissan Murano crossover and several other critical new vehicles.”
Sales growth figures for 2014 for Nissan are already double the industry average and Nissan has been named the most fuel-efficient brand in America by the EPA.
“Consumers are going to be hearing a lot about Nissan, and our bold new models like Murano, throughout the next few months building up to Feb. 1,” said Diaz. “We’re going big, and there’s no bigger moment than the Super Bowl.”
Maroon5 lead singer and “The Voice” coach Adam Levine recently partnered up with Nissan North America Inc. In doing so, Levine will be featured in a series of new videos released by Nissan, and the automaker will continue its sponsorship of the popular singing competition show. The new videos will also feature several of the contestants from season seven.
For the first video, Levine accepts a challenge from Nissan stating that he would not be able to continue singing Maroon5’s new single “SUGAR” while riding in a Nissan GT-R driven by Precision Driver Rich Rutherford. 2015 Nissan Murano Given “Best of What’s New” Award
Last week, Popular Science Magazine awarded the 2015 Nissan Murano a “Best of What’s New” Award. This award is the magazine’s top honor and is given to products and technologies that embodies a “significant step forward.” The available technology featured in the new Murano includes Moving Object Detection, Blind Spot Warning and Predictive Forward Collision Warning, all of which are in addition to the style and performance of the Murano.
“Unveiled in 2002, the Murano was a true original – a premium crossover that set the standard for years to come,” said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Nissan Sales & Marketing and Operations, U.S. “Now, nearly 13 years later, the redesigned Murano is leading the way once again with an incredible balance of style, comfort, innovation and more. With the Murano set to hit dealerships in early December, this award serves as a great vote of confidence that this vehicle is among the best.”
Every year, editors from the magazine pour over thousands of new products, innovations and technologies to determine the 100 best across 12 different categories. All of the winners are then included in its best-selling December “Best of What’s New” issue.
“For 27 years, Popular Science has honored the innovations that surprise and amaze us − those that make a positive impact on our world today and challenge our view of what’s possible in the future,” said Cliff Ransom, editor-in-chief, Popular Science. “The ‘Best of What’s New’ award is the magazine’s top honor, and the 100 winners − chosen from among thousands of entrants − each represent a revolution in its field.”
