Project Titan Vehicle Completed by Nissan

After several months of development, Nissan has finally completed its Project Titan vehicle. This project was first initiated at the beginning of the year when Nissan announced its plans to create a custom Titan to take two Wounded Warrior veterans on the ultimate off-road adventure. Through the use of social media, the public was able to participate in the development of the model and offer suggestions on the types of advanced features the model should be equipped with.

The Titan was created from a 2014 Titan Crew Cab PRO-4X® with custom features such as 18-inch Fuel Revolver D525 Wheels wrapped in 35-inch Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires, a Digital-Camouflage Design, a ARB Deluxe Bull Bar and Bulldog LED Lighting. With this vehicle completed, the ultimate adventure through Alaska will soon take place and the public will be able to enjoy the adventure with them through a YouTube series documenting it.

"The robust Titan serves as a great starting point for an adventure of this magnitude. With the help of Nissan's Facebook fan base, Project Titan is fully equipped for the Alaskan Frontier," said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Nissan Sales & Marketing and Operations U.S. "I'm very much looking forward to following the Wounded Warrior Project team as they make their way through Alaska behind the wheel of Project Titan. This is the trip of a lifetime, and these veterans have all the essentials in this custom Nissan Titan to tackle many of the challenges the great wilderness will send their way throughout the journey."

The recent “Project Titan” trip was another way Nissan showed its support of WWP. In the trip, two injured veterans navigated a custom Nissan Titan pickup for 10 days across the Alaskan Wilderness. Last Veteran’s Day a short film showed on select channels showing their journey. Earlier this year in January, Nissan donated $1 million in a joint effort with their “With Dad” Super Bowl commercial, to help families ensure a better future.

Heisman Winners Discuss Creating Awareness About Affordable Housing

We recently shared a blog with you that discussed Nissan’s efforts with Habitat for Humanity and how the automaker recently participated in an event in Los Angeles along with the Heisman Trophy Trust in order to build a new house for a local family of five. The previous blog discussed how the three organizations helped to facilitate e a weekend-long event to not only build a home for this family, but to help and raise awareness about the need for affordable housing all throughout the U.S. Here we are offering you a behind-the-scenes account from a few of the participants that took part in the build that day. The video shows Heisman winners and Nissan executives discussing why the are passionate about this cause and helping to build a home for this family. "It's great to get out of the office and spend some time in the community working with our dealers, working with the Heisman Trust, working with our people, working with a family who really deserves to have a home. And it makes it all worth it when you see Nissan make this kind of impact on a community and do that in a way that is just genuine. The smiles on people's faces here, the hard work, the sweat – all that comes together, and we know that we are making an impact in the community. That's a great place for us to be and a great feeling to have as a leader within the company." Watch the video above to hear some of the personal opinions of a few of the participants.

Heisman and Habitat for Humanity and Nissan Join Forces

Nissan Motor Company has extended its partnership with the Heisman Trophy Trust and Habitat for Humanity in order to help promote awareness about the need for affordable housing across the country. "Now, with the personal commitment of time and effort from the Heisman winners, we're creating a one-of-a-kind partnership that can bring even greater attention to local needs for decent, affordable housing.
