What to Expect from the 2022 Nissan Frontier

The moment we’ve all be waiting for is coming soon! The highly anticipated, all new 2022 Nissan Frontier will make its way to Fort Collins, Colorado and hopefully into your driveway later this summer. Production has just started at the Nissan Assembly Plant in Canton, Mississippi and we can’t wait to see them in person. Exterior Design First, let’s talk design. The Nissan Frontier has sported the same body style since 2005. While it has stood the test of time quite well, most of us are ready to see a change after 16 years! We think Nissan completely nailed it with this re-design. It looks much more rugged with some subtle nods at the original Nissan Hardbody design. The aggressive front end with warrior style grille, chiseled hood and C-shaped LED headlights and daytime running lights is a big departure from previous generations. The rugged look is complimented by the wide, elevated stance and vertical fenders. Everything is modernized, both inside and out. There will be a wide array of color options, including the new Boulder Gray that we’ve seen on Rogue and Murano. Interior Inside, the modernized approach continues. The 2022 Frontier offers a best in class 9” touchscreen with standard Apple Car Play and Android Auto. It also has a largest in class 7” drier assist display, which is fully configurable to offer the info you care about most, which can change depending on your driving conditions. Whether you need to parallel park or are hitting tight trails, the Around View Monitor with off-road mode allows you to navigate without a second set of eyes. Just like on the exterior, there are some new color options on the interior, like Sandstone and the Pro 4-X Charcoal Gray with Lava Red accents throughout. Zero gravity seats now come standard as well, which provide lateral support and help reduce driver fatigue. Additional available tech includes built in WiFi, wireless charging and Fender premium audio. Added insulation throughout creates a quieter ride than ever before. Capability Mechanically, the 2022 Nissan Frontier comes standard with a 3.8L direct injections V6 engine with best in class 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft torque! The 9 speed automatic transmission helps maximize powertrain efficiency and enhances acceleration. The ride is smoother thanks to a new rear stabilizer bar and hydraulic cab mounts. The new Frontier offers a maximum towing capacity of 6720 lb with standard trailer sway control on all models. If you need to haul but not enough to tow, take advantage of 1,610 lb max payload. Once you he’d into the bed, you’ll enjoy the previous loved spray in bed liner and useful utili-track system, and you’ll be sure to appreciate the new built in bed step, bed lights and 120v outlets. Safety Whether your truck is for work, play, or combination of both, you can drive the 2022 Frontier with confidence, knowing you have Nissan Safety Shield 360, which is available on every trim. This suite of advanced safety features includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, High Beam Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, lane Departure Warning and Rear Automatic Braking. They say you shouldn’t fix what’s not broken, which is likely why we’ve seen so few chances in the Frontier over the past 16 years. However, Nissan really took this wonderful midsize truck to an entirely new level with this redesign! Stay tuned for release date, but we expect to see the 2022 Nissan Frontier here at Fort Collins Nissan late Summer 2021! Please feel free to reach out to our sales department if you have any questions in the meantime or shop the current generation Frontier here!

Altima

Intelligent All Wheel Drive Nissan Altima

The Nissan Altima has earned a reputation as one of the most sophisticated cars in its class. The new version of the well loved sedan is no exception. As soon as you get behind the wheel of the 2020 Altima, you’ll take notice of its comfort, intuitive controls, rich array of technology, and of course, its robust performance. Possibly the most exciting new feature available on the 2020 Altima for us Northern Colorado drivers is the incorporation of Nissan's Intelligent All Wheel Drive. For the first time ever, you can get this amazing sedan with AWD, providing you with more confidence in snow and inclement weather. Just like the Rogue SUV, this new Altima was designed to be compatible with the AWD hardware from the beginning. Doing so kept weight and handling in check and prevented extreme drops in fuel economy that might be expected with an AWD upgrade. AWD Altima Performance The AWD Altima features Nissan's 4 cylinder, 2.5 Liter Direct Injection Gasoline engine, providing 188 horsepower. It is paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission. The Xtronic CVT features dynamic step shifting, wider gear ratio coverage, and an adaptive shift controller. The result is a more connected, spirited driving experience. Nissan's Intelligent AWD system monitors road conditions automatically and can respond to changes in the blink of an eye. It distributes power, as needed, to the wheels with the best traction at any given time. In normal driving conditions, power is sent to the front wheels in order to maximize fuel economy and efficiency. Read on to learn more about the AWD Altima's impressive MPG ratings. Fuel Economy The AWD Altima weighs 120 lbs more than the FWD versions. You’d never notice the extra weight from behind the wheel, however. You likely won't notice at the fuel pump, either, as this version of the Altima has maintained impressive fuel economy. The AWD Altima S, SV, and SL provides a respectable 26 MPG in city driving and 36 mpg on the highway. To put that in perspective, the most efficient FWD Altima provides 28 mpg in the city and 39 on the highway. Compare that with its bigger sibling, the Rogue, which offers 26 city, 33 highway, and 29 combined. While the FWD Altima will use slightly less gas, MPG decrease is small and a fair trade for AWD capabilities. Safety and Technology Innovative comfort and safety features are just a few of the reasons to consider the new AWD Altima. The newest model is available equipped with Nissan's safety Shield 360, which lends a helping hand in watching the road and covering your blind spots. Safety Shield 360 incorporates Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Rear Automatic Braking. Intelligent Forward Collision Warning is also on the lookout when you can't see what's ahead. Additionally, the AWD Altima features Nissan's innovative ProPILOT Assist. This hands on driver assistance system makes long commutes and traffic packed drives a breeze. The Altima also comes equipped with an intuitive and engaging infotainment system stocked with available features including smartphone compatibility, Apple Car Play, Android Auto and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Stop by Fort Collins Nissan to check out the new AWD Altima for yourself!

The Rogue is Nissan's best selling model in the industry's largest segment. Here at Fort Collins Nissan, we are so excited about the new design and can't wait to bring it to you! The new 2021 Rogue is one of five new or redesigned vehicles entering production over the next year. This first look at it proves that Nissan has some very exciting things in the pipeline! The Rogue was designed with families in mind.  "The all-new Rogue was purposefully designed to meet all of the needs of today's young families," said Mike Colleran, senior vice president, Nissan U.S. Marketing and Sales. The Rogue "Family Hub" Inside, the 2021 Nissan Rogue is a "family hub," providing comfort and utility to both the front and rear passengers. All four doors now work with the Nissan Intelligent Key. When the key is in proximity to the vehicle, the driver or passengers can now lock or unlock any door using the press button on the handle. The rear doors are now wider and open to almost 90 degrees, making car seat install or removal much easier. This also provides less cumbersome entry and exit for all passengers, whether the be two legged or four! Car seat installation is a breeze, with the added flexibility of install in all 3 rear seating positions. Anyone who has ever had a car seat and two additional adult or older children passengers understands how great it will be to have a center positioned car seat. NASA inspired zero gravity seats and available heated back seats offer added comfort for rear passengers. Pull up shades block intense sun for rear passengers. They'll also be able to control their climate separately from the driver and front passenger with Tri-Zone Climate Control! The center console opens "butterfly" style, allowing both front and rear passengers to easily access what's inside. Remote start with Intelligent Climate Control is available, allowing drivers to set the perfect temperature before getting inside. This is especially beneficial when traveling with small children or pets! Large cargo space with new organization compartments make hauling whatever you need a breeze! Whether you're getting ready for your next family camping trip, or simply running to the grocery store, the new Rogue is ready to haul it all Safety First This new Rogue is the latest Nissan model to offer Safety Shield 360, providing the most standard safety technologies in its class. ProPILOT Assist is enhanced with next generation radar and camera technologies. ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link introduces several new features. By linking to the vehicle's navigation, map data can help proactively reduce speed for upcoming curves, junctions or exits. Android Auto is also available. You'll still get the USB charging ports, but the Rogue now also offers a wireless smartphone charger under the center console. Another new addition is the 10.8 inch heads up display. This new display allows the driver to access a range of information without taking their eyes off the road. The instrument panel features an available advanced digital meter display. It is fully customizable for personalized appearance and information display. The third digital screen is a 9 inch floating touchscreen for navigation, audio display, climate control, RearView Monitor and Intelligent Around View Monitor. Voice commands control both Google Maps and Waze. The driver can seamlessly switch between apps to access their preferred view of route and driving conditions. Commanding Design Every design aspect of the Rogue reflects the spirit if the vehicle - fun, versatile and adventurous. It features the newest signature Nissan design elements, such as the floating roof and a new V-motion grille. The unique multi-level LED headlights with expanded illumination are standard on all trim levels. LED fog lights are standing on the SL and Platinum trim levels. The body measures 1.5 inches shorter and 0.2 inches lower than the previous model year. This change enhances the aggressive look, while increasing maneuverability. A wide range of color combinations will be available, including five two-tone combinations, a Rogue first. The design inside is equally impressive. All of the Family Hub features mentioned above make the interior as practical as it is beautiful. The quilted semi-aniline leather seats standard on the Platinum offer a look of luxury. The newly designed electronic shifter reduces the need for mechanical equipment beneath the console, allowing for additional storage space and a unique floating design. Premium Driving Experience While we look forward to all of the exiting features above, an important part of considering any new vehicle will always be driving experience. On top of the improved MPG and overall performance, the 2021 Nissan Rogue features a new Vehicle Motion Control system. "This is technology that does what a human can't," said Chris Reed, senior vice president, Research and Development, Nissan Technical Center North America. "The all-new Vehicle Motion Control predicts what the driver is trying to do to do by monitoring steering, acceleration and braking. It can then step in and help to smooth things out." Vehicle Motion Control works with the Intelligent AWD system and Drive Mode Selector to provide individual wheel control. It can even apply a single brake when necessary to smooth out sharp corners. The Rogue with AWD features 5 different drive modes – Off-road, Snow, Standard, Eco and Sport. The Vehicle Motion Control system is particularly useful when driving on snowy slopes, deep snow, and off-road conditions. This makes the Rogue better than ever before for adventurous Colorado drivers! Every 2021 Rogue features a standard 2.5-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine with Nissan's Direct Injection Gasoline system. Horsepower comes in at 181 with 181 lb-ft of torque.
