Nissan Debuts Rogue Warrior Prototype In Canada

Nissan knows that the weather can be rough in the winter and that driving through snow can be a hassle. In order to help combat the elements, Nissan has developed a new prototype called the Rogue Warrior. This vehicle has been designed to easily power through the snow thanks to snow tracks that have been installed in place of tires. Recently, the brand debuted this new prototype at the 2016 Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS) where it will be on display until the end of this weekend. In addition to the display at MIAS, the brand has also released a new 90-second spot that shows off this impressive model in action and also features 2015 Nissan Micra Cup Champion and 2015 Gilles-Villeneuve Trophy recipient, Olivier Bédard. In the spot, we see a group of skiers waiting in a long line for their turn to catch a ride in the ski lift. Bédard notices the backup and decides to take matters into his own hands and leaves, only to return with the Rogue Warrior. With these custom snow tracks, this model is able to easily plow through more than a foot of snow to reach the group of skiers and haul them up to the top of the mountain so that they can enjoy their day instead of standing in line. "In the automotive industry, it's the norm to develop a prototype and show it to the world through photos or a static auto show display, but with the Rogue Warrior – we had to do something more," says Steve Rhind, director of marketing at Nissan Canada. "When the all-wheel drive system on the Rogue and Nissan's advanced Xtronic transmission are matched with snow tracks, it results in something spectacular – a Rogue capable of overcoming severe, off-road winter conditions. This video shows an entertaining side of our brand's persona, and does justice to the extreme capabilities of the Rogue Warrior - an idea developed and executed entirely in Canada." Kicks Concept Production Model To Be Released By Nissan

Two years ago, at the 2014 Sao Paulo Motor Show, Nissan introduced its newest concept vehicle, the Kicks Concept Car, an innovative and stylish new crossover model. Now, the brand has announced that they plan to release a production version of this concept car beginning later this year, starting with an initial release in the Latin American markets. Nissan Design America (NDA) and Nissan's Global Design Center in Japan worked together to collaborate on the concept model and they will be teaming up again for the production version. "Nissan intended the first crossover in 2003, with the Murano," said Carlos Ghosn, president and chief executive officer of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. "Since then, we've established our global crossover leadership with vehicles like JUKE, Qashqai and X-Trail – which have been great successes. The Kicks will bring Nissan´s unique Crossover expertise to more regions." Check out the video below to hear more about this model from Ghosn. Nissan GT-R Helps To Undecorate Your Tree

The only thing worse than the holidays being over is having to clean up all of the countless holiday decorations that have been placed all throughout your home. One such task includes completely undecorating the tree and putting away all of the ornaments, lights, and garland that have been adorned on the tree this year. Then, of course, you either need to dismantle and put away the tree for next year or haul it out to the curb depending on if you opt for real or artificial. For this year, Nissan decided to offer a humorous alternative that GT-R enthusiasts and those who hate tedious holiday aftermath are sure to love. In the video one man ties the end of his string of lights to the back of a Nissan GT-R and hits the acceleration. the lights then unwind causing the tree to spin around taking off all the lights and ornaments. This method definitely proves to be a fun time saver but unless you have shatterproof ornaments than it might not be the best way to complete this task. Nonetheless, it makes for a unique experience and it is most definitely fun to watch in action. Check out the video above to see for yourself.

Nissan Stadium Marquee Sign Revealed

As they announced earlier this year, Nissan signed a deal with the Tennessee Titans that provided them with a 20-year exclusive naming-rights to the team’s Nashville downtown stadium which will now be called Nissan Stadium. Recently, the brand’s presence at the stadium became much more obvious as the first of two “Nissan Stadium” marquee signs was officially placed above the main entrance. This new sign was designed to truly stand out with “Nissan” letters that are 15 feet tall and “Stadium” letters that are 7.5 feet tall. Additionally, the combined weight of all the letters comes out to 35 tons, so between the height and size, this is easily one of the largest stadium signs in the world. What makes this sign even more unique is that the white “Stadium” letters can be changed to different colors with special lighting in order to support different holidays and causes. Enterprise & Nissan Announce Expansion Of CarShare Program

Nissan has teamed up with Enterprise CarShare to help college students and faculty navigate around their communities more affordably. Through this program, Nissan will provide new vehicles that Enterprise will make available through their CarShare fleets at close to 90 campuses that participate with their program. This program has become increasingly popular since it was first initiated, and in the last year alone it has grown by 20 percent. The idea for this program came from research by Enterprise that found that millennials were heavily influenced to purchase a new car based on their rental experience. Surveys showed that 68 percent of the millennial participants admitted to considering a new model because of a positive rental experience with it. "The Enterprise CarShare program offers a convenient way for college students, faculty, and staff to enjoy an extended test drive of a wide range of Nissan vehicles and to experience 'Innovation that excites' firsthand," said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing and Operations, U.S.A., Nissan North America, Inc. "And for those about to graduate and recent graduates, we'll be there to support the transition into the working world with our College Grad program when they are ready to purchase a new Nissan car, SUV or truck." As an additional incentive, from now until December 31, Enterprise CarShare users will be entitled to a special rate of only $5/hour on all available Nissan models.
