Four Nissan Models Get IIHS Safety Awards

Nissan North America, Inc. has plenty to celebrate this holiday season, as four of their top models have been recognized by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS). The 2016 Maxima and Murano have been awarded an IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus and the 2016 Rogue and Sentra have been given a Top Safety Pick award when equipped with Forward Emergency Braking. The Top Safety Pick Plus rating is the highest designation from the IIHS and was given to the Maxima, which joined the previously announced Murano, since in scored “Good” in all five TSP categories and earned TSP+ status with a "Superior" rating for front crash prevention for those models equipped with Forward Emergency Braking. The 2016 Sentra received a Top Safety Pick along with the Rogue. When the Sentra goes on sale in January it will offer Forward Emergency Braking. This means that it will have the opportunity to upgrade its rating to a Top Safety Pick Plus. "Nissan is proud to again have our core vehicles recognized by IIHS for vehicle safety," said Pierre Loing, vice president, Product Strategy and Planning, Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA). "The new Maxima, like the Murano, is setting high standards in its class for styling, performance, and interior refinement.  The 2016 Nissan Rogue and Sentra demonstrate Nissan’s commitment to high quality and safety standards, and we are gratified that these outstanding vehicles have been recognized for excellent design." You can find the 2016 Maxima and Rogue on the Tynan’s Nissan of Fort Collins lot right now! As for the Sentra and Murano, there’s no need to wait! Nissan Releases Chapter 9 In TITAN Truckumentary

When Nissan first began designing the 2016 Nissan Titan they decided to offer customers  behind-the-scenes look into the process of creating this impressive vehicle. Thus, the brand created the Nissan TITAN Truckumentary, a multi-part series that follows the design and build of this truck from initial conceptual design planning up through the testing and release of the final product. Recently, the brand released the newest segment in the series “Chapter 9: Making the Grade.” In this latest chapter, the brand gave viewers a look at series of rigorous off-road test that they put this model through in order to ensure its overall strength and durability on even the toughest of roads. For these tests, the 2016 Titan was taken out for a drive on the Montana Mountain. Additionally, engineers also drove it over the Davis Dam in order to see how it would stand up under high heat while being driven on a steep incline. Lienert, Phil. Nissan Stadium Marquee Sign Revealed

As they announced earlier this year, Nissan signed a deal with the Tennessee Titans that provided them with a 20-year exclusive naming-rights to the team’s Nashville downtown stadium which will now be called Nissan Stadium. Recently, the brand’s presence at the stadium became much more obvious as the first of two “Nissan Stadium” marquee signs was officially placed above the main entrance. This new sign was designed to truly stand out with “Nissan” letters that are 15 feet tall and “Stadium” letters that are 7.5 feet tall. Additionally, the combined weight of all the letters comes out to 35 tons, so between the height and size, this is easily one of the largest stadium signs in the world. What makes this sign even more unique is that the white “Stadium” letters can be changed to different colors with special lighting in order to support different holidays and causes.
